何年もの間ずっと行方知れずだった本．「普遍体系学」（大文字の“Systematics”）をぶち上げた大著 で，ペーパーバックにして750ページもあるこの本は，万物の「体系化哲学」としての“Systematics”をつくろうとしている．でも……読めないんです，この本．自家出版ということもあるのか，読者向きの編集がまったくなされていないのか，ある章などは400ページを越えるアンバランスな分量があったりする．タイトル買いしたものの，積まれて埋もれてそのまま四半世紀が経ってしまった．いま，章のタイトルをあらためて眺めていると，シンパシーを感じないでもない．
