今年はじめに英訳されていたことをうっかり見逃していた．2007年に出たイタリア語原書：Umberto Eco『Dall'albero al labirinto: Studi storici sul segno e l'interpretazione』（2007年刊行，Bompiani, Milano, 636 pp., ISBN:9788845259029 [pbk] → 版元ページ）と同じく，この英訳本も640ページという分量なので（しかも小説じゃなくて記号論史の本だし），きっと日本語には訳されないだろうなあ．ライムンドゥス・ルルスの arbor scientiae に始まる知識の “樹的” 体系化を皮切りに，ポルピュリオスやらアベラールやらが次々に登場する大著．到達点の “迷宮” までの果てしなき物語．工◯舎とか◎土社とか△秋社とか勁◇書房とかから誰かが翻訳してぇ．
