先日書いた記事「文献リストの “闇” はさらに深い」で取り上げた論文：

の別刷りがイギリスの古書店〈Fossil Books〉から届いた．ロンドン地質学会誌からの抜き刷りで，著者の献呈署名入り．ロンドンの Queen Mary College の Geological Department からの除籍本．「Prefaced by the awards of the medals and funds and notices of fellows recently deceased」と抜き刷り表紙に記されているように，各種の学会賞（メダル）授与報告（pp. xlii-li）と学会長による会員逝去報告（pp. lii-lxi）が最初に置かれ，上記論文はそれらのあとに続いていた．先日来の疑問はこれでやっと最終的に解決した．
