ケンブリッジ大学出版局から大きな箱が届いた．予想通りの大物四巻本ペーパーバック．ゴルトン伝の元本と比較してみると，図版リプリントの質が低いのはしかたがないが（元本は二色刷図版だし），それ以外は及第点．ゴルトン=ダーウィン家の家系図は元本には添付されていないので，復刻に際しての付加価値か． 全三巻四分冊の構成と書誌情報は下記の通り：
